Photographer and Videographer

I am researching photographers and videographers and am wondering what you all found to be an average price range for these vendors separately and vendors that offer both services. I can't tell if the quotes I'm getting are really expensive or average. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!

We got two different vendors (Photo & Me Photography, AJ Ingoglia) and paid $3500.00 in total. Photographers can start bet $1000 and up (good ones) and Video ($2000 and up)depending on the style as well.

I only looked at vendors who did both, and I'd say $4000 was the average price for photo/video. It also depends on how high-end a package you want, whether or not you're doing parent albums, etc. I only visited 3 vendors and they were all willing to work within my budget, so don't assume that the price you see is the price you're going to pay!

thanks! This is really helpful. I want to make sure I'm not paying a ridiculous amount for both.

My fiance and I started looking last week and met with two photogs. Both were great.. we were looking to spend around 4k with an album. I think thats the going rate. My friend paid 7k with Matthew Sowa..a little too rich for my blood.

Lots of times you can get prices down by going with the cheaper coffee table books instead of real albums because they're printed by ink jet instead of real photos. So ask!!!
