Photographer - Anyone Pay under $2000?

I'm looking for a photographer but I don't want to spend more than $2000. Has anyone booked a photographer for less than $2k and if so, who is it and what are you getting?

I am only paying $800 for 2 photographers who work with Mark Kaufmann. But the catch is that we only have them for 3 hours, before the ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour. This includes 1 candid, 1 b&w and 200 proofs. So, I know he is very flexible and willing to work w/ you.

no, not in this price. my fi and I decided that it will come later, but we will probably only get one for us, and 8x10s for our parents (they don't need/want the big albums). we don't have a budget for a large package. but, i am happy that we are getting MK studios.

My FI and I only want one album for us and maybe 2 8x10's for our parents. Do you have any idea what Mark Kauffman charges for an album with about 40 pics? I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions!!!!

Hi- Try VIP - he does excellent work, doesn't cost a fortune, and gives you a lot of stuff. I believe he's able to keep his costs down because he works out of his home, so there is no overhead. He has an ad on this site. I think his website it www.vipstuli.com and his name is John Pagano. I'm paying $2,000 and very happy with what I'm getting. Good luck!

I am also using John...his packages start at about $1700...but he will work with you and you get 2 photographers and an assistant... I am paying 2K, but neither parents wanted books so that made a big difference...his work is great.

I used him for our Sept. 15th wedding and was very pleased. We paid about $3200 for pics and video. We got about 500 proofs (too many pictures to pick from) and you get to keep your proofs. He works with another photographer who takes black and white. You get both photographers on your day.
