How long should I wait for seeing florists (or should I say how long can I procrastinate seeing florists)??

congrats!!
we waited until a few weekends ago to see florists because they wanted us to see examples of the types of flowers that would be in season around the time of our wedding..it helped a lot!!

I'm getting calls from florists already and I still have 18 months! But I would think you could start looking since you are close to 1 year. I agree it's helpful to see which seasonal flowers will be available.

its really up to you...depends on who you want to use, there are many places that are able to do more than one wedding a day so it will be fine

That makes sense - since every friggin magazine you read advises you to stick w/ flowers that will be in bloom - and I don't know about the rest of you girls but I am a flower dummy. I like bamboo

haha..I have no clue about flowers either so it was a lot easier for me to walk through the cases the florists had filled with in season flowers and also see what type of centerpieces/bouquets they were doing for weddings right now to get some idea of what I want...

You can also get a more accurate price quote this way. Instead of recieving an average quote.

that's what i figure... i mean, i do this for a living (project manage) so i'm actually calmer when i have a million things to do as opposed to doing nothing which makes me nervous LOL!
guess i'll put the florist thing off until end of the month. suggestions ladies? i don't remember who posted it (yesterday i think), pics of centerpieces w/ cherry blossoms and candles hanging from it? LOVED it. Wonder what a cherry blossom goes for....

Congrats! He is my photographer as well!
Super! I liked him ,he reminds me of a regular guy from the neighborhood. And his prices were great.

Congrats.. I waited till March so that I can see for sure what flowers are in season.. sure enough we booked our florist about a week ago (Flower Michele). DJ is also good to get done- once you find someone you like to go with.. that took us about 2 months to get because everyone we saw we weren't happy with.
