Photographer Debate

So after yesterday we narrowed it down to either Lighthouse or Duet for photo/video. As usual, FH and each like a different one better! Lol. After we saw Duet yesterday future FIL and step MIL generously offered to pay for our photo/video! I'm going to leave the final decision up my FH BC I would be happy with either, but would love any feedback to share with him about your ladies' thoughts. Thanks!

I looked into both photographers. Duet was booked for my day, and Lighthouse was the first place we looked. I fell in love with the pictures and with Florio - who is an absolute doll. I stalk their facebook page often lol. I'm incredibly happy with my choice and cannot wait to see my pictures after I get married in a month!

Lighthouse did an amazing job on our e-pics!! They are so easy to work with and they respond to e-mails really quickly.

Did you have a chance to meet with your actual wedding day photographer at each? If so I would just go with whoever you felt more comfortable with I think they are both great :)

Ugh this decision is a tough one! FH just cannot make up his mind. Right now both are available for our wedding date and I just hope he doesn't pick one that books up by the time he decides.

I don't know how their work is now, but I know JayLim (and I believe one of his other photographers) used to work for Duet and then went out on his own. I also know that people who have used Duet have a hard time getting their photos in a timely manner.

I am booked with Lighthouse. We loved Florio, and he was like an old friend after an hour. If you want quotes, let me know!

Our wedding was on Saturday, August 31. We had booked with Lighthouse! Florio is a complete doll! LOVE HIM and his work. The day of our wedding was absolutely amazing. Everytime I turned around he was right there taking pictures. He was so nice and so sweet. WE already got some teaser photos posted on facebook and I am in love with them! He is such a great guy and an excellent photographer! There is NO other photographer out there that is as good as his work! DEFINITELY go with Florio from Lighthouse!

I usually don't like talking crap about a Vendor- but since your on the fence between the Final 2 choices- I've heard the same thing about Duet. I have family who used them years ago, loved them and received amazing work, but more recently a friend of mine did not receive the level of work she was expecting and continues to have difficulty getting in contact. Greatt staff and people when they do communicate, but the work in between wasn't satisfactory. They do offer some amazing deals now because of that though (I almost booked with them until I went to JAYlim- who's work is also stilll posted at Duet). Although I haven't looked into Lighthouse myself, I've only heard good things about them (incl. Florio) on here.

You should defin check out JayLim! He use to work with Duet! I am booked with Jay and I can't stop raving about his work. Him and his staff are very responsive and very nice to work with.

Even if Florio isn't available the other photographers he bas I believe are very good also. he had his assistant with him and he was on top of everything. I can't say enough good things about them.

You should definitely check out JAY LIM!!! I looked at Lighthouse, Duet and Jay Lim. I was hesistant with Duet because a lot of photographers seem to be leaving and they couldn't guarantee I would get Alberto so I went to Jay and he is one of my favorite vendors!

Even if Florio can't do your photos, it seemed to me that he doesn't hire anyone who can't keep up with his level of work. He also doesn't hire freelance photogs. His photographers only work for him, so the quality of their work has to be consistently wonderful or he wouldn't keep them on.
