I am about to start looking for photographers and I need help! Has anyone heard or worked with Photos of the Heart, Patken, Imagine Studios, Bart Stevens, **************, or Duet?? I have no idea where to begin

I would like to add that my photographer Leli is wonderful. He is very personal and he works out of his home! He is a vendor here. I saw Duet but I was concerned about how many weddings they do a day and felt that there might be a language barrier. They're work was good though!

Bart Stevens is no longer doing weddings due to illness. He was supposed to do our wedding but fell ill and referred us to Renaissance Studio, which is who we are using now (I'll know after the wedding if I'd reccomend them!). We met with Duet and their pictures are beautiful but we were also concerned about the language barrier.

Heard great things about Imagine Studios. I'm using Artisan Photo group - love Chuck
Duet is pretty popular on this site, and Imagine is great.

I just picked up my proofs last night and i love them!!!! I used Steve from Patken. He was so nice to work with, and he did a great job. Good Luck.

Duet does good work and will negotiate. Depends what you're looking for.

We are using Patken for both photography and video. I have been very happy with the level of customer service so far. We loved our engagement photos as well.

WEnt to see renaissance in smithtown- real nice people- good work, but in my opinion MUCH more traditional
there are plenty of great people out there, just look for what you LIKE best!

Duet is very popular on these boards and IMO do beautiful work. If you do a search you'll find a ton of reviews and proofs
Imagine also does beautiful work and there are some brides who recently posted their proofs on the Review Board

we used duet and we were worried about the language barrier as well. Eric is the one we first met with and spoke to about prices. We were able to understand him well enough.
For the rest of the planning, such as timeline of the wedding day, photos, proofs. albums, we have been dealing with Sue and she speaks English just fine and is very nice.
They work with you on everything and are out to please. Their work is great, IMO.
