Photographer help

Hi all.. this is the first time I am posting but I've been reading these boards since I got engaged!! You all seem so helpful so I'm hoping you can help me out...

I'm in between two photographers after looking at a bunch... Glenmar & Proline. Glenmar did both of my sisters weddings years ago so it was a no brainer to go with them. ThenI looked at Proline since they were recommended by our reception hall and they seem great and the prices are somewhat equal (give or take)...

Anyone have any thoughts on either?

thanks in advance!

try searching for both of them in the brides review thread. Im sure there are girls who have used them.

Welcome to the boards!!!

Never heard of the ones your sister used, but I booked with Proline. The people are really nice to work with and their final product is beautiful. My only concern with proline is that they're a little too traditional (especially in this day and age)in which I've noticed the photographers don't take out much unique, angled or artsy looking pictures. I think if they incorporated lots of unique and different poses (rather than just having the bridal party standing in the same line type of post just with a different background) they would be awesome and def. one of the best photography studios out there!

It doesn't hurt to call them up and make an appointment to see their work. I'm meeting with one of their photographers next week.

Thanks! When I met with them I liked what I saw. I think I will get a mix of both traditional and some artsy. I really like the image magazine album and theirs were really nice. I'm going to bring my fiancee to see their work and will most likely book them.

Glenmar did my sister and brother's weddings. To me, it was a no brainer at first, I'll go with Glenmar, so I met with them. They were great and all, but I just wanted to go look at another photographer. I went to The Velvet Studio and I felt more comfortable with them, so I booked them instead. They had more of what I was looking for.
