Photographer help!! Lol

Trying to decide on photographers.
Seen so many. I'm amazed how expensive photog are! Am I missing any really good cheap ones?? Lol
I'm kinda leaning towards studio 27
But cassarino albums were nice too! Some mention Patken, lol I'm having photographer overload. Suggestions welcomed!
They all tell you what u want to hear. Do I get one or two?
Do I really need video??? I'm afraid of all the horror stories I've heard. I don't want to become another sob story.

We went with Florio at Lighthouse. He's amazing. He was the first one we met with and we honestly should have booked him on the spot, but we went to see another photographer & after that horrible meeting I said to FH that we were booking Florio because nothing would compare to him. His prices are really good too! (I'll FM you if you want). We have 2 photographers for 10 hours, so I know we are going to get amazing shots (my big thing was I wanted a pic of me when the church doors opened and a pic of FH when he saw me at that same moment - 2 photographers were perfect for us)

We aren't doing video because I know we will never watch it, but Lighthouse does those too.

I sooo agree, I don't see me and def dont see FH ever watching video. But everyone keeps saying do it, you'll regret it later on lol

I didn't want a video either, but our parents kept pressuring us. There were just other things I'd rather spend my money on. So we compromised. We got all-day unedited footage. Its costing us almost 1k, but then maybe later down the road, we can take it back to our photographer (or anyone else with editing equipment) and pay to have it edited. A lot of girls like cinematography. Keep in mind that this is a style of editing, not shooting, so you can get anything you'd like with enough raw footage.

As far as your # of photographers, a lot of people suggest that smaller weddings only need 1 photog, while bigger weddings need 2. It's up to you and your budget.

We are using Studio27 for photo and video--if you do both Franco will work out an AMAZING deal with you--tell him Emily sent you :). W.e are paying for the wedding ourselves so def wanted to cut costs and video was one place we agreed we would not. If you think about it, the special day goes by in a blink of an eye and all you have to look back on are the photos and video. The video capatures everything!!! If you can figure out a way to do it, I say do it :). I am on overload with everything right now, so I know what you are feeling.

Talk to Gil from Fade to Black. We had a specific budget and idea of what we wanted and he fit perfectly into that. Really great work.

We used North Island Photo and they were amazing. Have some E-pics in my album and pro pics in my review.
We did not have the funds for video and were unsure if we needed it as well. Michael included a 50 clip short video in our package and it was amazing! It was just enough!

Im using patken their prices are great there are a ton of great photographers around here though!!

I used Steve from Patken and he was amazing. I am waiting to get our pictures back but I have no doubt they will be amazing!

We did get a video but did not spend alot of money on it. We figured it would be a great thing to be able to show our children in the future. Also, I have grandparents that were not able to travel to be there. So we will be able to send them a copy which they will love to see.

The best we found in all resepcts was celestial . I believe his prices are the best. We added a few things to the package that were important to us.. And still it was a fabulous deal. He moved his studio to his home to reflect these economic times his work is beautiful he is a great guy and the best thing that he does... and no one else does that we found... is that you pay as you go. You do not pay for albums then wait 16 months for them as other brides have gone thru . You pay when you get them.and he does a free engagement shoot.too many great things to mention..like People can see the wedding pix on line the following day! I am so excited about that! Studio 27 set the bar high. But unfortunately I don't know if I can really afford them. Franco was awesome he's talented and has a great personality. If he was available i prolly wouldve booked them right there --I'm trying to decide if there price still worth his 2nd best photog. The photog will b in my face for 10 hrs so personality counts. My FH hates taking pix and strangers. so I have to make sure he likes them or 4 hrs in he might end up beating the guy up lolololol

Definitely Lighthouse for Photos! Florio is amazing!!!! For video I went with GT Modern Creations. They are really affordable!!!

If you havent already, check out Fade to Black! He does photo and video Gil is great and will work with your budget.

If its in your budget I def rec 2 photogs. Im getting 2 because I want a photog withthe boys when they get ready. You will get dif shots, angles and perspectives. Also, 1 photog might miss something that a 2nd could capture.

I highly rec video also! Photo and video are the only visual memories u will have that will last a lifetime. Plus for me, Id love to show my kids when mom n dad got married and to see family members and hear voices.
