Photographer help...ladies i ned your help please -x post

So as many of you know i was married June 28th. I called for my pics 3 weeks later when i returned from my honeymoon to be told that proofs can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks. I called at 6 weeks and was told oh no it can take anywhere up to 8 weeks. Saturday is 8 weeks so i called to be told i need to wait another two weeks. I am really mad right now and skeptical about what is taking so long. What can i do? I flipped out on the guy on the phone telling him i know its not his fault but i am really disappointed and upset. Please help.

Wow, do u have anywhere in your contract or written down how long this should take? Maybe you could use a little threatening, like 'if i don't have them in 2 weeks, I am contacting BBB'

Well, find out who exactly IS responsible and ask them what is taking so long. No sense in yelling at someone who has nothing to do with it.

And yes, check your contract for anything about this. If they are in violation of their contract, you have options. If not, then you are just going to have to wait it out.

Sorry this is happening to you. I'm sure the photos will be worth the wait.

What kind of explanation is he giving you for having you wait another two weeks. Why isn't he able to stick to company policy???? Sounds like he didn't tell you anything???????? unacceptable.

don't know if this is any consolation but this is very busy time for photogs right now. I was married sep 2 and it took 5 weeks to get mine, a little longer than they expected.
but your guy may be editing and color correcting and that takes time especially if it's on 900,1000 or more proofs.
but maybe if you went in person to the office and asked WHY it might help???

I would love to take a ride there but he is an hour away and during summer hours, he doesnt have set hours which makes me believe that's the reason my pics arent getting done.

Sorry this is happening to you... I would have DH call and inquire also, check your contract, and also ask other girls who have used this photog how long they waited for their proofs. Not to make you more upset...but it seems as if most girls get them within a month. We had ours within 10 days. And don't feel bad about flipping out on them....IMHO they kind of deserve it for not getting your proofs back to you in a reasonable time frame
