Photographer - Imagine Studios

FYI!! All new brides looking for a photographer. Please be careful if you are interested in Imagine Studios. They do a nice job but dont book them unless you are absolutely sure thats who you want. I booked them for both photo and video. I happen to find another videographer that I liked, thinking I can cancel the video with Imagine, they told me I couldnt do that. I had to cancel my whole contract losing my deposit because they only do package deals. I wasnt aware of that and am not too sure when they made that policy.

I think but I could be wrong when I called they told me that you have to do both video and photography with them to book them- they do not just do one or the other

Thanks for the warning Silibonz. A lot of us on this site have fallen in love with Imagine. Their work is awesome! I understand that it is tough when trying to change a contract. Although, I suspect that once you give a deposit and sign a contract, it is tough to change a deal with any vendor. Part of Imagine's deal is that you have to book as a package, photo & video.

I think anyone that books them for both and then still go looking for another vendor was never satisfied with their work. I think you knew their policy when you booked them. They work together and you have to book them together during their peak season. So you trying to cancel after the fact would not work. I hope you are happy with your new choice. What is your other name???

PS I used them for both and I was very happy with the work that they did. We picked up our video and our album from them on Saturday and I am still looking. I watched our video everyday since we have gotten it and looked at our album a gazillion time. Happy planning and all the best.

I was told about the photo/video together policy not even at time of booking, but at time when I made my appt to see them... They are pretty upfront about it.

I think imagines work is beautiful and was told upfront that the photo and video was a package deal. that is the only reason I did not meet with them.

Sorry about your situation, but when I booked them they were very clear about thier policy for only booking photo and video, as well as thier cancelation policy.

Lea & Nelson were very upfront about their policy. We weren't sold on the video until we saw the clips.

When booking a videographer, we wanted a creative style & someone who would work well w/ the photographer. Most photographers will recommend someone they work with anyway.

We weren't sure that we wanted one in the first place, but am soooo glad that did!! Besides, IMO, Nelson is the best!!! Such a pleasure to work with!

Hi,

I am not using Imagine Studios but I have to say I was at a wedding two weeks ago and you hardly saw either of them! They worked so well together (well obviously, haha) that you hardly noticed they were even there! The bride who used them was sooo happy she chose them! Just a little input on Imagine's behalf!

It definitely was an experience for me. I probably should have payed more attention when booking. Imagine definitely does a beautiful job, I too have seen their work done upfront, that is why I went with them first. Things happen for a reason. My taste for videography went towards Imagecast Studios. They reffered me to a few photographers, one which I particularly favored Paul Marino Photography. I'll let you know how that goes.

I also booked Imagine and am so happy I did. However, Paul Marino was another choice of ours and we also loved him. A good friend of mine used him and her pictures came out beautiful. Good luck!

I saw Shamma's video and album over the weekend and they were phenomenal. Imagine does excellent work, and I only wished I had met with them before my wedding. Shamma's album is the best I have ever seen and her video was just as good.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Lia (Imagine Studios). I know that she makes it understood before hand that you must book video and photography together. I have them for just photos but that is because I booked her before she started that policy. She does amazing work and so does Nelson (video) from what I have seen and heard.

To any brides that are considering them, please do not let this post make you weary of them.

I have heard that Imagine only wants combo-bookings, not just photography. So brides should know that prior to signing a contract. I always think that is a stupid policy but it is their business, so they can do what they want.
