Photographer in Ireland... My original post got pulled....

Photographer in Ireland... My original post got pulled....

For all of you girls that replied, I didn't get to see all responses... apparently if you have a bad experience with a vendor you can't mention their name... I'll try it again without their name and see if it gets pulled again!

Here is my original post minus the vendors info...

I am beyond pissed right now! and I need to vent and cry... I searched for a photographer to fly to Ireland to photograph my wedding and tried to hire the vendor. I spoke with the vendor and he told me he would love to do our wedding and he said he'd have no problem traveling to Ireland…...we tried to set up appts with him……..I sent him numerous emails and left voicemails at his studio and when I finally got in touch with him he said he didn't receive any of them (meanwhile I received read receipts for the emails I sent him). I gave him the benefit of the doubt and we tried to set up an appt to meet but when it came down to it either I couldn't make it or he couldn't so I told him that I was confident in his work because he came so highly recommended and I just wanted to book him. I asked him to send me his contract and we could go over the details over the phone. I asked him to call me the next day and the next day came and he emailed me saying he couldn't call me. I called his studio and left him another message... he never returned my phone call. I finally emailed him yesterday and asked him to send me the contract and that I wanted to book his flight now while the tickets were still cheap and I receive an email today from him saying that he sent the contract to me (which he NEVER did) and when he didn't hear anything from me he booked another wedding! I can't believe he would claim to send the contract to me, and then not even have the courtesy to call me before he booked another wedding to see if I still wanted to use him or to tell me that he decided to go with someone else! So now it's 3 months till my wedding and I don't have a photographer!

What am I supposed to do??? I'm at work and so upset, I can't sit here and make photographer phonecalls all day…..can anyone recommend a photographer that they think might be willing to travel to Ireland to shoot my wedding??? I would be paying the airfare & hotel.

I cant remember her name, but there is a girl on here who had a wedding in Ireland, and I think she used a photographer over there, and her pics were gorgeous... maybe if you search Ireland on here you can find her and see who see used.

I originally was going to book a photographer in Ireland but they are very pricey and they don't give you your proofs. The two that I were looking at only offered 1 album with 20 pages for 2500 Euro, which works out to over $3300! It works out better to fly someone over as sad as that sounds!

I was going to suggest that you book someone in Ireland, but after reading the above post that's not really cost effective.

I actually spoke to my photographer/videographer about something like this when we first sat down with them. He said that they would travel anywhere--just give them the date and location. Try Golden Moments--they're really nice and do terrific work.

Thanks! I'm seriously looking into every option! I get married exactly 3 months from tomorrow and instead of being excited I just want to cry!

My photog is GREAT and is willing to travel. He has done tons of destination weddings. Contact Rocco at Camelot Studios. I love his work, very unique and easy to work with.

Here is his website www.camelotstudios.com

I'm not sure if he is booked but it's worth a shot. Good luck
