Ok so we went to our first photographer meeting. How do I know if the price is good? I was recommended to them by FH cousin. I am definitely going to other places to get quotes, but how do I know if the price is good. Am I allowed to post prices?

One of the 07 brides is sending me the price list that she gathered- if she sends it, I would be happy to email it to you- just fm me your email address.

I’m pretty sure you’re allowed to post prices…it’s just a matter if you want to or not. As long as you’re comfortable, post away!

well i wont post the price since i dont want to get in trouble
this is the package we were going with: -our album-48 pages magazine style -3 parent albums (1 free album b/c i had a coupon for $100 off) -all proofs -cd -3 dvds/vhs -11x14 (i went down a size so he took off money) -and some loose pics (5x7 & 8x10)
and we're also doing the video - basic package ceremony to the end
Am I missing something that I should get with a photographer?
Ok I was quoted--$1995 for the video & $2995 for the photo

u can post prices!!!!!! its just a matter if u want to or not...but ive posted prices tons of times
i got almost the same as u...i didnt get parent albums, but my album has 90 pics, and i gota a mini album (same as larger one just a lot smaller)

That quote is on the high side. I'm getting basically the same thing (minus the parent albums, plus thank you cards) for about $1000 less.

$2995 for photo including albums, is pretty good actually...youre getting 4 albums with that...usually parents albums are between $400-600 and regular albums at least the magazine style are about $1000-2000 each.

yeah but 3 parent albums would be more than $1000 so the quote is great

I think that price seems about right. I've seen others who charge a whole lot more but I've also seen some who charge a whole lot less. You seem to be getting tons of things with it.
I guess it all depends on your budget and the photographer whose work you like. Good Luck!!

i actually think the quote is pretty fair. I am having 2 photographers so one will be with FH and one will be with me while we are getting ready.

There’s nice to have, but you can also use them for your STDs and other things at the day of the wedding…my photographer is turning them into an album which will be the guestbook at the wedding.

they are nice to have but some use them for STD's, also they use one for the wedding, some use it for table numbers and other things.
I also think its good because you get to work with your photographer before the wedding, get to know their style and what its like working with them. You also learn how to pose more and get comfortable in front of the camera
