I'm meeting with a few photographers this weekend. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for reasonable wedding packages. I know that the range is extraordinary. I just feel so oblivious to what would be considered reasonable, and what would be considered pricey. TIA.

Depends who you are looking at. If you say who you're meeting with, some girls might be able to give you a better idea of what to expect!

Re: Photographer Pricing
I'm paying $4,000 for the photographer and $1,500 for the videographer. That package includes the nicest album he has and the 2 parent albums...of course there are many other extras in there, but thats the basics of it.

Ouch..... that sounds like a lot. We're meeting with Roma and Kauffman and a couple others. I didn't want to spend more than $2500, but I might be underestimating? Thanks for the quick replies..that was pretty awesome!!!

Including albums?
Try looking at art-istic images (not a vendor on here), but FBIL used them. I think he is out of Ronkonkoma or something and did a good job.
And he's in that price range, I believe.

Re: Photographer Pricing
if you're just looking for photography with no videography you can definitely keep it under $2500. I booked with twelfth night, they are very reasonable.

Re: Photographer Pricing
My fiance and I are using a 'high end' photographer from Westchester... He is the son of the Martone Brothers and branched off (he's in Westchester, Scarsdale)... I was expecting his price to be alot more because he's so 'high end', but it's actually reasonable for what we are getting...
50 8X10 bounded slip in album (ours) 2 24 5x7 Albums (parents) 1 16X20 2 11X14 All the the thank you's we need Videographer included with full editing and DVDs
We are paying $5,200 plus tax
If you're interested, he'll travel to you for the wedding if your not close... He actually went to Italy for a wedding a few months ago!!
We got our album, parents albums, 175 thank yous, edited dvd separated by chapter, e-pics, etc. for somewhere in the range of $4000 from Glenmar.

Re: Photographer Pricing
ask the photographers when/if they'll be raising their prices...most raise at end or beginning of the year, so you may be able to get a better deal by booking sooner rather than later
