I'm booked with TP so I love him! I met him and booked him on the spot. I just felt completely at ease with him and knew I could deal with him all day long.
Duet - Nothing bad to say. They take great pictures. I went to a wedding where they were the photogs and they were EVERYWHERE. However, my FH did not feel like we were given much attention at our meeting.
Patken - Great pictures. They were nice. Way to many upcharges I felt after the wedding. I didn't like that I had to wait 6 months for my disc. And really I was getting less for more money than other places I went to. I also didn't like that I didnt meet my photog until after I booked.

More than anything define your style and that will help you decide. I'm using Thomas Paul in less than 3 weeks and I have no reservations. He was the only photographer I met with though I did research and I am a hobbyist photographer. As much as price and experience count, the 2 most important aspects I think are personality and references. I knew this was the #1 vendor I knew I'd need to click with if I was going to spend 10 hours with and smile.

I am using Patken and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I had my engagement pictures with Steve and they were amazing! Steve has also been assigned to my wedding and we can not be happier!

I know you have alot to meet with but try meeting with Lighthouse Photography! Great to work with on a budget, great quality photos, extremely nice & so far have gone above & beyond to make me happy!!

I am booked with TP as well and his work is amazing. He was the 1st photo vendor i looked at and the only one. We booked on the spot. FH and I were super impressed with his work and with Tom himself. He is an awesome guy. I have seen patkens work and I was impressed too, Just not as impressed like I was with TP.
