FH and I went and saw a photographer/videographer tonight. Am I in the ballpark with prices or is this guy raking us over the coals?

Believe it or not I've seen packages lik that for way more. Photogs and video are so expensive!! But then again, so is this whole wedding lol Like they said above, check the quality and read up on some reviews posted but previous brides on the board

we saw their books and everything was gorgeous. They do all digital work and all they typical pic styles- sepia, B/W, etc.

do they give you your proofs hard copy and on disk as well?

the proof s will be hardcopy (think he said 5x5) in a book and also available online.

i think it's a pretty good price. is it one or two photogs on the big day? And how many album pics? Traditional or coffee table book?

it is one photog and the album is 30 pics. anything above that will be about $20/pic additional. it is a traditional album

seems pretty good. i paid about $1k more but for 2 photogs, 85 pics (traditional album), 5x7 print for each person in my BP and a couple of other extras.

It sounds like a good price to me. Do you have 2 photographers? Are they with you all day? How many pix in album? These are the ?'s I would ask and if you like the answers, perfect!

Wow thats a good price from them. I ended up leaving there as soon as she gave me the price of the package we wanted. We actually wanted/needed less than what they offered you (video included) and she quoted me over $6200!!! i was like nooo thanks lol

Sounds like a good price to me. There are packages out there that are way more expensive than that.
