Photographer question

When are you or did you have your photographer arrive to your house?

When the makeup artist gets there so you can get pictures of while your makeup is being done or a little later(like 30 min later) once your almost done with your makeup?

I am so lost with this and would appreciate the help so much..tia

I think the photog get's there while you're getting your make-up done. Not 100% sure. It may be up to you when you want them to start taking photos.

Re: Photographer question

Our photog got there when I was in the hair chair, about to move to the make up chair.

They got a few of me with hair and make up being done, and a lot of the detail shots out of the way (shoes, garter, invitation, flowers etc)

It worked for us...

honestly i think it depends on the photographer.. ours came at the end of my makeup & took some pics of her putting the veil in my hair.. most of the makeup shots are mock anyway..so he came later..

Yes, i was leaning more towards having the photographer come when my makeup is almost done.

Re: Photographer question

I worked with Duet for our wedding, our photographer Danny arrived with the camera guy an hr. & half prior to the departure to the ceremony. Typically, your photographer should be arriving to your home/hotel/etc. approximately an hour or two when your make-up/hair is getting done. My make-up artist arrived almost 20 mins late so it kind of pushed back the schedule. I had 3 BM's that need their hair & make-up done. By the time everyone had their hair & make-up done, I was the last one so everything was sort of rushed. If you have a large wedding party, I def recommend the make-up artist/hair-stylist to have an assistant (who does actual work) with them. Unfortunately, the make-up/hair stylist I worked with, Rachel Leigh brought an assistant that did not do any make-up or hair. Instead, she just pass her brushes/accessories to help her prepare for our make-up/hair.

Re: Photographer question

I don't think I want the photogs there until I am dolled up and ready to step into the dress. Otherwise, what are they really taking pics of? I'll be taking behind the scenes snapshots of the wedding, as will some of my BMs...we won't be able to help ourselves. lol But when the ladies are camera ready and I am about ready...that is when the photog can be there. I want that girlie time...

I want her to come and get as many of the pics of the dress, shoes, flowers, doj, as i am almost ready to put my dress on, so i would like for her to come after my hair, but during my makeup for the final touches.

Mine is coming just as I finish my hair and makeup.. I have horrible skin though so I don't want any pics of me that day until I am completely made up!

Re: Photographer question

im having the photog come at 1:30..we are leaving the hotel room at 3:30 to take pics with FH before ceremony so I think 1:30 is enough time to get the pics of me and the girls finishing getting ready
