I met with a photographer tonight and love love love him....but he is $1500 over my ridiculously tiny budget!! I haven't gone over on ANYTHING yet and am wondering if this should be my splurge...I don't think I budgeted realistically ($1500)... Acccckkkkkk!

NW crashing...
Tough call. I met w/ a ton of photographers and ended up selecting mine based on price. Honestly, regret it to this day. Yes my pics are ok and I like a lot of the pro pics, but my photog missed some very 'must have' pics and his style wasn't as photo-journalistic as I would've preferred.
If I had to do it all over, I would've booked another photographer - price be da**m*ned..honestly. Pictures last a lifetime.

I don't think so at all - I also am pretty sure you can find an amazing photographer for less than $3,000 unless you want like a 100 books lol
But you should also book someone that you're happy with their style and their pictures capture how you want your wedding represented. We got lucky because we found someone that does that within our budget.

I think a $1500 budget is a bit tight depending on what you want- but I think you should be able to get your images on disk, etc for close to that (maybe not any albums!)

We went with Lighthouse Photography. Florio worked with our budget (which was tight too). We got our epics back last month and his work is amazing!!
I don't know if you are looking at buying albums too but they are really pricey. We are getting the pics released and are probably going to make our own.
