Photographer Question- a little long!

Ok girls need your opinion-

I booked my photographer back in December and was very happy with my choice as i have seen there work and know they are good. We went for our engagement shoot which went well. The photographer was the owner of the company and who i was told when i book was going to be doing our wedding. When the photographer looked at our contract he said that someone else would be doing it and that he must have already been assigned someone. He then brought us back to the office to investgate why that was. It turns out that he was put on another wedding but for someone that booked over a month after us. I didnt say much then, but im wondering if i should call back and say something. I have no idea what this guys work looks like and I was told one thing and now im getting another. Im paying a lot for my photos and i dont want some random guy doing them! What do you think i should do?

Thanks in advance and sorry this is so long!

I would ask to see the work of the photographer who will be shooting your wedding. See if you like his work. If you don't then say that the owner is supposed to shoot your wedding and it's in your contract. That sounds like a breach of contract to me.

I would call and tell them that their error is not your fault and u expect to get whatu paid for and what u signe for. If they cant meet ur needs I would start shopping around again.

If you paid for the owner... and you booked first. That is who you should get. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Good luck... but I would go there and talk about this. I wouldn't do it over the phone... to make sure they change the contracts.

And IF you like the other guys work... tell them you want a lower rate... maybe they will do something... it was their mistake... and usually you always pay more for the owner.

def call back and make a appointment to sit down with them and discuss whats going on - you payed and got the owner there really shouldnt be any excuses as to why he got assigned to another wedding- first come first served.....1

I would call them and ask to speak to the owner. Then I would simply tell him --that you booked him first. You would like to make an appt. to meet with the photographer who is doing your wedding and see samples of his work. If you are not satisfied with him then you want the owner to do it. If they can't accommodate you then you want a refund of your deposit so that you can go elsewhere since they breached the contract. The contract states that the owner is doing the wedding. It shows that you are willing to compromise but won't take **** either. And if you do have to use a different photographer ask for a $$ change considering you had to be inconvienienced.
