I set up meetings for Duet, Patken and Thomas Paul.
Is there anyone else I should check out that is within the same price range or better? I want a mix of photojournalistic and traditional pictures.
I looked at the website for Imagine Studios and it looks nice. Does anyone know where they are located?
PS I want photo and video.

Imagine Studios is located in Happauge just off of 454. It is a studio in the photographers home....definitely check them out!

I second Proline. I'm using them and they're wonderful. The owner is Ed, ask to speak with him and you'll be all set. If you have questions. I know Ed on a personal basis as well.

Golden moments looked great..but they were a little pricey.. their packages only included the photographer.. pictures and albums were all a la carte... (from what I remember)

I agree. While they don't do video they work closely with mittermax.

I worked with Duet for my wedding and they are amazing! Danny was my main photographer along with Brian and our photos were gorgeous. Not only were they hard- workers but they even help the guest pin the corsages, they rock! They were so friendly and attentive throughout our wedding day. I would highly recommend them. If the budget is a problem, hire them for photography and another vendor for the video.

Re: Photographer question (another one)
I would check out J'adore Love Photography. I am using them and Jenn and Efrian are great people to work with and they LOVE what they do. I am using them and they photographed my daughter's baptism and my e-shoot and they took pride in photographing both as if it were their own event. Their work is also AMAZING. You may feel free to take a look at my album with a few of my teaser pro pics. They don't do video but I think their work is worth seeing. I am thinking about using mittermax or Ariana Studios for Video both are around the same price if you get platinum video at Ariana. I am also the first one featured on the blog. If you have more questions feel free to FM
