I am looking for a photo package under 3000. Can anyone recommend a photographer in that price range? I'm leaning towards a photojournalistic approach. Thanks!

We are using The Velvet Studio. We just had our engagement pics on friday and got the CD w/ the pics today!!! They came out amazing! I'll be sure to post them later.

I recv'd several FM's from some 06's regarding Leli photography and being upset over some bad reviews..Not everyone is going to have something nice to say about each of your vendors...Some of the best photographers get bad reviews.
Leli's approach definitely changed since 2 years ago because his photos are anyting but posed..He has done many of my friends and families wedding and my cousin just got back her album and it is gorgeous..Her album has alot of artistic touches, black & white pix's with some color thrown in.... and maybe 2-3 posed pix's (nice poses,,not the just standing there poses)..know what I mean?...You also get what you pay for. If you want the artistic, photo-journalist look( which I am getting),,you have to be willing to pay extra...I went with Leli because I have witnessed his work..he is fabulous to work with and very accommodating...We didnt get a break on the price and we are paying over 6k....BUT he did throw alot of extra's in and I am 100% confident that my proofs and album will be gorgeous...
All you girls who booked Leli,,,do not worry...
ETA: His website does his work no justice..I am very picky and know what I want and if I didnt know that Leli could deliver,,I would of changed photographers a long time ago..

I used Gary Leli and he was nothing but wonderful!!! I just got my proofs back (all 1250 of them) and they are absolutely GREAT!!!!! he is great to work with !

I used Leli and although there were some miscommunications, I am very pleased say that the end result is a very positive experience.

I have heard not so good things about Leli...I have no info on the others...while at Marco I ran into a girl who was getting married in August of this year and apparently Leli was causing her some unnecessary stress and she was looking for a new photographer and willing to loose her $700 deposit. ...and yes Marco does had a web site...if you look under vendors and then photographers you will find Marco Studios here on LI Weddings... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have had nothing but great experiences with Leli so far!!
I personally did not have a bad experience with them...I know someone who definately did...
