Hi Everyone - I'm getting married at the OldField Club on June 30th 2006. I still have so much to do and I am WAY behind. Can anyone give me a good recommendation on a good photographer in Long Island? I am looking for something affordable - I am flexible on the package, but I really want to make sure I can get the proofs & that digital is available. What is the average price of a photographer?? I don't even know how much I should be thinking of spending on this?? Thanks! - Laura

I highly recommend my photographer, Dan Wagner. He exceeded our expectations in ever way. I have no idea how we're supposed to pick pictures for our album since we love THEM ALL! and even now after our wedding he has been an absolute PLEASURE to work with!
I also recommend Dan Wagner, he did a great job on our pics,enlargements, and albums. Im sure he will work with you to create a package that suits what you're looking for.

I'm using Duet, but I've also heard great things about Dan Wagner and Dan Krieger - check them out.

North Island Photo does tons of work at Old Field. Their work is so beautiful, you just don't get enough for your money IMO. Good luck!

We are using The Velvet Studio and couldn't be happier. We had an awesome e-shoot!! Bob, our photographer, is great!! He has multiple packages, including digital design albums, and they all include proofs.
As for average price, we looked at 7 different photographers, they all started at @ $3000 and went up from there.

I'm using Kim Covell and she's great. She starts at $950 for 4 hours and then charges $200 for each additional hour. But she also charges $50 per roll of film to be developed. So pretty much when all is said and done, she's about $2000. But you get:
-ALL the negatives -2 4x6 pictures of each shot -parent photos -she shoots both color & black and white -Film & digital -Puts all the pictures on a CD for you so you can upload them, send them to people, or make additional enlargements.
