I live about 5 minutes away from my church. I am having a ceremony at 11:00am. The limo should be at my house around 10:15 and we will be leaving a little after 10:30. What would be a good time to have the photographer get to the house? How long before a bride leaves the house does the photographer usually come?

Re: photographer time to come to house
IMO, it depends on if you want alot of coverage of you getting ready. If you don't want alot of getting ready pictures, you probably don't need him there much more then maybe 10ish if you want basic family pictures before you leave for the church. If you do want some getting ready pictures, that depends on if your having a hair/make up person coming to the house and what time you anticipate on putting your dress on and all that.

it depends on whether onot you decide to bang out some pictures with your girls before the wedding. If so, the photog may need to arrive a little earlier. If you aren't planning on doing pics with the girls and just portrait shots, I would say at least 1.5 hours before you are scheduled to leave. You can to get picks of you putting on the dress and you're shoes and take some portrait shots.

i had trouble figuring this out too! he said its usually 2 hours before the ceremony begins but it really all depends on how long you have him for and what time you what him to end. i didnt want him to miss the cake cutting and if he came 2 me, 2 hours before and then stayed for 9 hours, the cake cutting would have to be an hour and fifteen minutes before the end which i didnt want (cuz ppl sometimes leave at that point). well kinda for that reason, i am going to have my cake cutting right after dinner (so obviously ppl will know not to leave at that piont) and still have him come to me 2 hours before the ceremony because, like you the limo is picking me up about 45 minutes before the ceremony and i want shots of me getting ready and the dress, etc.

i think if you have your photog for 10 hours or even if its only for 9 hours but depending on how soon after your ceremony, your reception begins, you can still have you photog for the cake cutting at the normal time
