Photographer / Videographer

Starting to look for photographers/videographers! The hall recommended the following:

Brett Matthews
FineArt Photo
David Roth Photography
Gray Studios
Sherwood Triart
Modern Photography

Does anyone have any quotes on these? Or any recommendations for others?

I have not heard anything about the recomended p/v. I used Matthew Sowa for photos and his work was AMAZING!! He was also just really great to work with. For video I used Lighthouse. I liked their style. I also recommend Momentous Occasions of video. I have worked with them before and I really like their work, and they will work with your budget.

Try Visual Concepts...they are a photographer here on LI Weddings too. They are amazing!!! Check out their website. They did my cousins wedding and the pics were amazing! They have been featured in big bridal magazines! The husband Bob is a traditional photographer mostly but the wife Debbie brings and amazing photojournalitic approach so you get the best of both worlds!! Plus they are really, really nice people! The prices are affordable too!

I only know 3 of those recommended photogs and they are VERY expensive IMO. Just because your RH recommended someone doesn't mean you can only use from their preferred list. We used Duet for our wedding photos (Jay's Team) and Lovemore Photo for our TTD pictures. I highly recommend BOTH of them as they did wonderful work. Lighthouse and Benchwerk are two more faves of mine and they are very reasonably priced.

Try Imagine Studios. Husband and Wife Team. Lia does photo and her husband Nelson does the video. Love them!

Brett Matthews - amazing photography, not-so-good customer service and demeanor (my high school friend used them)

Go with Janelle Brooke!! She is absolutely amazing.

I'm using Brett Matthews... our engagement pics were amazing and we've had nothing but wonderful customer service. Our photographer and everyone else who work we've meet have been wonderful. Our photographer has gone above and beyond in answering questions (non photo related), suggesting locations and always quick to respond (even on days off!) I was recommended to them by friends who were all happy...

I have to say I'm willing to spend a little more on photos especially after some of the stories you hear of people not getting what the wanted and trouble getting the actual photos after the wedding.
