Hi! I have gotten a recommendation from a friend about Verdi Photographers in Patchogue. The web site looks great (www.fotoverdi.com). Does anyone have any experience with them? Also, can anyone recommend a local photographer...(from Quogue to Huntington)? Thanks.

There's also VIP studios in Smithtown and I believe Centereach. My friend is the head photographer there and will be shooting my wedding as a side job.

I'll chime in and recommend my photographer, Natasha Staszak . She's based in Cold Spring Harbor and seems very laid-back and great to work with. If you like Verdi I think you'd like her; she's also spontaneous and photojournalistic. My friends used Verdi when they got married last year and they were very happy, but I think they are a little pricier as far as the amount of things you get.

We used TimeXposures from Patchogue. He was awesome and very reasonable.

If it's not too far, I would suggest Photos of the Heart in Mt. Sinai. They did a really fabulous job for our wedding! (My stepdad said they were the best wedding photos he ever saw.)

My FSIL used Verdi and was very happy with them. If you go on the website, their's is the link titled 'Josephine and Parkson,' right above the Recent Weddings link.

Re: photographers

We actually booked Verdi. They are a husband and wife team that are very laid back and have a photojournalistic style. One of my bm's was in a wedding and said that they were such a wonderful expereience. They were a ton of fun, they didn't push everyone around, and took a ton of candid photos. They take about 2000 pictures and give you approx. 1200 proofs. The specialize in Beach weddings too. But they are a little pricy and you have to pay extra for all the add on's.
