Perceptions was awesome. I would have gone with them, but to go with Anthony you have to buy the superior package. Great photojournalism!!
FM if you want more details.

Re: photographers
I have heard great things about sherwood triart. They were booked on my day so I went with twelfth night. My friend went with sherwood and loves their work. I know patken also has a good reputation on these boards. Im not familiar with the other two. Good luck.

I saw Sherwood and Patken. I thought there was a BIG difference in their styles. Sherwood is very traditional and Patken has a LOT of slanty pictures. I thought that the prices were a little different but Sherwood customizes your package to suit your needs where as Patken you have to pick one of their packages and they won't adjust it. I personally loved Sherwood's stuff and didn't like Patken very much. I know that they are popular on here and i have a lot of friends that use them, but I think I just wanted something a little more conservative and traditional and everyone I know who used them loved them.

Its funny you mentioned you thought Patken’s pictures are all “Slanty”, I thought the same thing, if you look at any of their proof, I would say 60-70% of their pictures are taken diagonally. Why????
This is one of the main reasons I didn’t book them, plus their overall style is just not for me.

I don't know about the others but we used Patken. Their prices are on the high side of average but their work is beautiful. The only thing you have to really understand about Patken is that they have a very distince style. They come to your wedding knowing what they are going to shoot. When I look at other Patken bride's photos I feel like I'm looking at my own. (edited to spell check)
We worked with Anthony Vasquez of Perceptions - Our proofs were beautiful - But we spent a samll fortune. I LOVED Anthony's work -

we're using Visual Concepts!!! We love them, they are the best. they take both photojournalistic and traditional photos. They are a husband and wife team. Bob and Debbie, you have to meet with them and see their work.

We are using Sherwood Triart. We just absolutely fell in love with their work. The quality is superb! What I love is that they will really work with you to customize packages. They are very flexible.

We used Patken. Both sides of our family, and our friends raved about them. Doug made everybody feel so comfortable when he was photographing them. They did an amazing job at our wedding. I feel their prices were reasonable. A few of our pictures are on their website.
