Please help me. I am having a really hard time picking a photographer. I have met with Deja Vu, Jovon and Imagine Studios. Deja Vu gave me a quote of $4600, Jovon $7300 and Imagine $7000. Now that is a lot of money and a big price difference. I have seen proofs from somebody that used Deja Vu and the pictures were nice, but they all looked too posed and I want a lot of candid and photojournalistic pictures. My budget tells me to go with Deja Vu but my taste tells me otherwise. Also, a friend suggested that I make an appointment with Silverfox and Fine Art. Any suggestions? Does anybody have any information or experience with any of the above photgraphers? Slowly everybody is getting booked and I don't have much time with the holidays and all.

I tried Duet, but they are booked already. The package with Deja Vu includes a photagrapher, assistant, videographer, all albums and 3 dvds, JoVon is 2 photographers (one is photojournalist), assistant, video, all albums, 3 dvds, and Imagine in 1 photgrapher, video, all albums and 3 dvds

I know exactly how you feel. We looked at six photographers before we decided on Spelman Studios. Best of luck!

I am biased, we went with Imagine Studios but all those places you looked at do amazing work! FOr us it was all about who we 'clicked with and felt comfortable' remember you will be spending a lot of time with your photgrapher on your wedding day Best of luck!

Re: Photographers
Did you try Verdi? They start at $4500. You should check out the website. THey are very similar to JO Von.
JoVon's work is excellent...but the price is steep. You may also want to check out Sherwood Triart, Verdi, or Click Photo Company.

Re: Photographers
I looked at at least 7 photographers and then went with Artisan so I know how you feel. You should check out Artisan they have good prices and the work is beautiful.

Re: Photographers
Have you looked at North Island...I just booked them last week. Husband/wife team that have different styles so you get the standard must have shots with the more candid photojournalistic shots. They were very reasonable...4500 for my album (40 pictures), 2 parents albums (20 pictures) and about 800 proofs. www.niphotoinc.com

Re: Photographers
I am using Artisan also, we thought Chuck was great and totally loved his work, he does photojournalistic as well as traditional, also I think they would be a good fit with your budget.
Also our friends used him years ago and still rave about his work.

Re: Photographers
I've heard really bad things about JoVon from brides who used them.
Fine Art has great work, but a lot of the work in their ads was done by Chuck, who left and started Artisan Photo. I looked at Artian and loved them, and they had really good prices starting around $3300
