Photographers!!!!!

Hey Ladies,
I was wondering since many have already gotten their photographers - would you girls mind posting who you are going with and their rates. I am having some second thoughts and am trying to figure out if I got a good deal. Thanks!!

8 hours, unlimited shots - photojournal/candid, e-pic, parent albums and bridal album all proofs - $1900.

I am using Jovon - they are on the high end - more than $5000 - BUT they do AMAZING work!!!!!! & I fell in love with them the moment I walked in the door. Here is what our package is:
12hours / 2 photographer (photojournalist)
Video
all proofs / cd with proofs
2 parent albums -18pics
B & G album - 50pics
1 - 11x14 / 2 - 5x7 / 3 - 8x10
100 TY / e-pics
HTH!
You should also check out Velvet Studio - alot of girls used or are using them - they are amazing!!!!!! & $$ are very reasonable

I have the cheapest one..and I mean that in every sense of the word. I am paying $795 ( got him to at least knock down $200) for 18 8x10 in an album and 2 8x10 protraits. I really didnt want to spend too much, but know that I look back on it...I think I may have been jiped.

I looked at 3 and went with the 2nd one I looked you.
You have to be comfortable with your photographer...this is someone who you & FH are going to be with for at least 8-10 hrs the day of your wedding. I went with my gut choice and do not regret it......

Ok, my sister used Ariana Studios for her photo/video 2 years ago. I don't remember the name of her photographer (older man, heavyset, with glasses)....he was just ok....but she didn't have any photojournalistic shots- it was just the basic poses. My sister spent something like $1000-1200- she didn't get any parent albums (she decided she'd make them herself).

Are you getting 2 photographers? Are you using their videographer also? The video would have been fine for my sis, but, they had major editing issues- she had to bring the dvd back 3 times to get it fixed properly. Send me an FM if you want more info.

Honestly if your having 2nd thoughts about them, back out now. My sister used them b/c her wedding was planned in 3 months (prego!) and she was on a strict budget. But, since your paying more than she did, I think you can try shopping around to see who else you can get for your $$.

We are using Velvet ...Bob is awesome. We are getting a Storybook album with 70 + pics...2 parents albums with 30 + pics...a mini book of our album..2 8x10's ...one large wall portrait...engagements pics ...thank yous...2 photographers and a video...he is negotiable on the price. He has all different packages...his work is BEAUTIFUL! FM for more info

I'm using Imagine and I LOVE her. I'm paying around $5K without a video. She's up there but her quality is unbeatable.

12th night,
over 600 pics, we receive all pics on DVD(3 edited into chapters, and one non edited), and a thank-you card design.

We will be making the parents albums and our own. We have all the digital proofs so we will blow up whatever pics we want someplace cheap.
