We only looked at Velvet Studios. After seeing some of their work on the boards, i was really impressed with them. We met them and told them what our budget was. We wanted to use the same company for photo and video so he basically told us what we can get for our budget. We looked at our budget after leaving there and saw that we may need to spend less. So i called him back up a week later and told him I needed to spend less and he adjusted the package. Really great to work with.

I'm actually going to check out Velvet also. Camacho (Jess) had absolutely gorgeous pictures taken!!!

Thats the reason I went too!!

It depends on the style you're looking for. The huge wedding photo machine companies had packages that started at around $2000 and they included parent albums but they lacked the quality I was looking for and only took around 300 pics. For more photojournalistic pics and better quality, packages started at around $3000+. These didn't normally included parent albums in the cheapest package, but depending on the company you received services like two photogs automatically or a lighting assistant included or both. It really depends on what you're looking for.

I booked with Artisan and thought they were amazing. FM me for more info.

Go to Patken. Great quality but they will give you less pictures and re-arrange your package to fit your price range.

Go see Velvet too.

I printed out a vendor list from LIW and NYCityWeddings. I basically called all the photographers on the lists. The range went from around 2000-4000 for photography. We are getting Photo and Video in the 4-5K range.
