I am going to my first photographer appointment tonight with Duet. I am so excited!!!! But I am also meeting with F I N E A R T on March 3rd. I am a little worried that F I N E A R T is going to be out of my budget, but I am willing to go anyway. So the problem is what if I love Duet and Jay is available (I heard he is the best) should I book it or risk losing Jay and wait to go see F I N E A R T? This is my first vendor I am meeting with and I am so confused on what to do. Any advice would be great. Thank in advance

I'm a firm believer in trusting your gut feeling. In other words, if you like it - book it. I've watched too many friends agonize over these decisions while wedding planning. There will always be another vendor that you like - there are many great vendors. But make it easy on yourself. If you get a good, excited yet comfortable feeling and you're happy with the meeting - book it! Just trust your instincts. You'll know if you like a photographer or not.

Re: Photographers
when we started checking photogs we didn't really have a good idea of what to ask or what were good prices/services.
the first we went to was pretty good but we found one we liked much better by going to more places (7 was as many as we could bear).
So I would check a few places before booking. If you really really like what you hear at Duet you might be able to ask them if they could 'reserve' Jay for a week or so or give you the right to book him if anyone expresses interest in him and your date and see if this gets you a few days to check other places.
I have seen a lot of posts with good things about Duet so I don't think you'd go wrong using them either. but you might always have those second thoughts . . .
We looked at Duet first, looked at 2 other places and they didn't even compare. I was so nervous that in those few days the photog that we wanted booked up- lucky for us he didn't! You will know what you want when you see it! GL

If you liked FeinArte, then I suggest you check out Artisan Chuck left Feinarte to start his own studio about 7 years ago, but a lot of the pics they have shown are actually his, and the prices are reasonable.

I would check out Artisan! Chuck and his team were my photographer and I loved their work!
