How much are you spending on your photographer and what are you getting in your package?
Also, who are you using and why did you choose them?
I cannot believe how much this can cost! Thanks in advance for your replies!

I think you should plan on spending about 5,000.
This is what my package is- and from what other girls posted on here- seems to be industry standard.
This includes one album, 2 parent albums, like 10 hours of shooting.. And also a titled Wedding DVD.

Duet package. $3699
2 photographers 1videographer proofs color work album 2 parent albums completed and edited DVD and lots of other stuff I can't remember.
You will find alot of brides on here using this package. It's a great deal.

Duet- I just got the photo only and it was 2717 including tax. I loved their attitude and the pics they showed me, the albums they create are very different and they give you so much extra if you just ask.

I am using Steve from Patken.
We are getting: 36 pics in our album 2 parents w/ 18 each a 20x20 portrait a 11x11 portrait 2 8x8 portraits a 5x7 for the whole bridal party 100 thank you's an engagemnet pic and all of our proofs 300+ in an album
This all cost us 2950 plus tax
The video cost us 1900 plus tax and we get 3 DVD's

I chose them the same reason why so many other womeon on here chose them: the service is fantastic, the people are terrific to get along with and the photos are amazing.

If you want to go budget... 12th night will do a 5hr package at $850 for a single photographer. $100 an hour extra. Engagement shoot is free as well. Not a bad deal IMO. That doesn't include any albums... but I am having them do all digital and I can either make my own albums, or just have them do an album at an additional cost after the wedding.
But this package DOES include a titled photo DVD.
Its cool if people have $5000+ to spend on photography... but some of us don't have that kind of cash. I liked Dominic when I met him and he sounded like he wasn't going to jerk me around.

We are paying 6k for both photo and video. This is a full package. We are using Sherwood Triart and they do amazing work. They did my sisters wedding and the photos were amazing. I would highly recommend them.
