I am not positive but B rett M atthews and Salzman and Ashley are recommended by most temples so they might.

She mentioned being concerned about capturing all the customs and not missing anything. I don't know anything about the religon, I'm just asking for her.
Thanks for your advice

I'd go with B rett M atthews, at least to look at. Her temple should be able to recommend some as well. Tell her to look at photographers in largely Jewish areas - chances are they're familiar with Jewish weddings.
UPDATED: We used BM and would NOT recommend them.
FM for details.

We are using Leli also because our friend who was married at Woodbury Jewish Center used them and loved the work I really think if you have a reputable photg he will know the ins and outs of all religions, and should have experience in all. Good Luck

I'm using Sandford Studios for mine... not sure if they do journalistic, but I'm 99% sure they do. I also went to see Salzman and Ashley and they looked like they had nice stuff... I thought a little pricey. FM and I can try and find out the other photographers recommended by my temple.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHER'S - For Jewish Ceremony's
We used Duet and we had a conservative/modern orthodox ceremony with ALL of the traditions and rituals.
Honestly, as long as you tell the photographers the order of events, any of them can do it. We had similar concerns but realized that as long as they follow the bride & groom around, they will get everything and they don't necessarily need to know the exact customs. Also, the bridal assistant at the synagogue where we got married made sure that they captured some of the events.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHER'S - For Jewish Ceremony's
Just a thought - my Rabbi is not allowing photography during the ceremony, only videography. Your friend should check with her Rabbi to see if he'll even let her get these pictures, because we're reform! I am guessing that her rabbi will be stricter than mine, but I don't really know.
On another point though, This is Long Island. 99.9999% of photography studios have done their share of Jewish Weddings.
I started with the same mindset, though - I wanted vendors who understood the Jewish traditions, but all in all I realized that most of them do around here.

What is modern orthadox? Are the men and women together? Do you need a man for the mens side and a woman for the women's side?
Maybe the rabbi, temple or hall can sugest a photographer that has experience w/ this type of service/reception.
