Photographers: Jessica Photography vs. Mark Kauffman vs. Dan Wagner

Hi all,

My fiance and I are completely stressing over choosing a photographer. We are considering Jack Brolly of Jessica Photography (also called A Beautiful Day), Mark Kauffman's Angelica studios, and Dan Wagner.

We really like Jack, but we're worried that his work might be too traditional.

We also like Mark, but are a little concerned that he keeps the rights to the photos.

We love Dan Wagner's work, but we haven't met with him yet and are worried he will be too expensive.

Any feedback on any of these photographers would be really helpful.

I don't know anything about Brolly of Jessica photography but I did meet with Mark Kaufman. Personally I did not click with Mark Kaufman or like the guessing of who will be at your wedding if you do not book him for your day. There are two brides on here that have negative reviews about him regarding proof etc. There are also a few brides with him that are booked with him for the day of in the 2010 forum that have booked him for their wedding. Dan Wagner, love his work but he was booked the day of my wedding.

I met with Dan Wagner and he is super sweet. His prices are extremely reasonable (not expensive at all, compared to a lot of other photogs). He was very accomodating and is willing to work with you and your budget. Def worth at least making an appointment with him. Sorry I don't know the other two photogs so I don't have any info on them. Try doing a search on here.

I know you didn't ask for suggestion but I recommend Erica Lyn Photography and Gail Chatelain. Both are very photojournalistic and creative !!

Thanks for the feedback, girls! We decided to go with Dan Wagner. FH is meeting with him today to drop off our deposit.
