Re: Photographer/Videographer help!
We planned on seeing around three photographers, but only met with one. After meeting with Bob from Velvet, our decision was made. They do a great job and were willing to work with us for our budget (which was not $5000). Basically, we told him what our budget was, and he said exactly what we could and could not get. Also, there are a lot of great reviews about them on liweddings.
Good Luck

based on brides reviews and one in particular - JessicaM. - take a look at 12th night photgraphy...
You can really look at any photographer you want and tell them your budget.
Silverfox and Gary Leli are a la carte photogs.
I recommend Silverfox for photo - their video is a little bit pricey...

i feel like a broken record b/c i tell EVERYONE who asks for advice, but we booked with dan saviano @ golden moments and i can't say it enough...his work is AMAZING and he's the nicest, most down-to-earth guy you'll meet in this business, which is someone you want to work with on your most important day!!

Sometimes you have to be willing you get your hands dirty. Check out Shutterfly.com On it you can upload photos and get enlargements made. You can also make albums that are that magazine/storybook style that are really popular. Instead of a $500 parent album you can make one for $50.

Thats what i plan on doing. Our original package with Velvet had the albums. We took them out and our price went down almost 1000!!

I wanted to do that but my father insisted he wanted them by the photographer. And since he is helping me pay for this wedding....

Well Dad is paying for photo and video.. But the problem is my parents are divorced. SO I would need to get three albums and all sets of parents said they didnt care for a professional album. So i lucked out and will be making them myself

Re: Photographer/Videographer help!
I'm using Patkin for my photographer and videographer. It was 4,000 but i had to include extra parents books and i also upgraded my thank yous. Also they give us $150 gift certificate for after the wedding for any extra prints or upgrading.

Re: Photographer/Videographer help!
I also had a very small budget to work with but FH and I are paying ourselves and well....we all know how budgets work.
Anyway - I met with Lavender Bridal Studio and from the minute I sat down with Mike (owner) I knew I'd book him. He was reasonable and I got a price of 2495 - but that is for a traditional album. I'm planning on using mypublisher later on to make my own digital album. FM me if you want details.!!

Re: Photographer/Videographer help!
www.wpja.com lists people for all budgets. I think I saw someone for like $1000 on their. Thats the lowest I have seen. But there were people for under $2500- is this within your budget? Iwas also on a budget and we are paying under $3000 unless we upgrade...
