I need help!! I'm currently looking for a photographer / videographer and so far met with 3 different ones. I have 2 more appointments scheduled for this week. I really was trying to keep it below $4,500 for both photographer and vidoegrapher together but so far from what I see the total package is over $5,000. I could spend less but then that would mean taking packages that did not include the wedding album or engagement shoot. My question is: Am I being unrealistic in expecting to spend less that $4,500 or am I possibly just checking out the wrong places? I am open to any suggestions.

I dont think youare being unrealistic. maybe try and find a photog that is flexible with the packages or add the albums later.
I think its do able without a doubt. Check our right angle, I know George had great prices (great work too) and they do video also.
Good Luck

Re: Photographer/Videographer Prices
Rambling Rose Video has very reasonable rates. Like $1100 or something. And you can get a photographer for under $3000.

I just met with Golden Moments (dan and pat) in Mineola. They are good guys and do good work. My friend is using them for her wedding and she recommended them. They are easy to talk to and their prices are reasonable...I think the highest package was under $4k....The lowest was around 2K which I think is good!

Oh and I also met with Cousins Photography (a recommended vendor from theknot.com)
I met with Kim and Paul at their house in Huntington....they do great work and are super easy going/laid back. They also offered a ton of stuff for a really good price!
