Photographer/Videography

We plan to do both for our wedding but I have no clue how much stuff costs or even what to budget. I don't even know what are in packages. (Totally clueless about this.) We haven't met with any photographers yet, but my preference is to work with a company that does both like Sherwood Triart. Can any of you let me know what some of your prices were and what your packages included? I definitely want to have photojournalism too. You can FM me with info. Thanks so much!

i would say set a budget, what the norm is for one is not for another person. You can find packages in about any range.

Prices will range from 3500 - 7000+ depending on what you are getting.

There are 2 types of albums - the traditional album where the pictures are matted or the newer style called 'magazine layout. I have noticed some charge the same for either style, some places charge more for one or the other.

Depending on the number of photos in your album, if you want parents albums, thank you cards, engagment photos, 1 or 2 photographers, etc. your price will change a lot.

I would go see one photographer almost as practice. They all do a good job of explaining what different things are. Each one has its own style of photography.

Price doesn't always equal quality!

I went with Angelo from Visions Video/photography. I have seen his work from 2 previous weddings and my sister used him for a sweet 16.

His photo packages start at $1500 and go to 5000.

His video package starts at $995.00 and goes to $3500.

He really worked with me and we came to a great deal. I am so happy with him and his work. He promised to shoot the video at my wedding and the photographer is the guy who did my sisters party and the the 2 other weddings. Check em out.
