If you don't mind traveling to the Bronx, we're using Martone Brothers - they did my cousin's wedding and their stuff is amazing! They do everything in house and use Italian leather albums. Very traditional although they can do the newer digital stuff if you want it. We're spending $4k, also going with more photos because we're not video people either. (but they do offer video as well)
Good luck.

Try 12th night...they are great
You will pay anywhere from $1000 to $3000 depending on what you want. You save a lot of miney cause you do your albums after you get married.
ditto for 12th night. it was like falling in love with pictures
same here
We loved EVERY picture in EVERY alblum from different photographers. For the money, it's wise, and besides that it's one of the best money saving choices you could make!!!!

Re: Photography
I used Duet and was thrilled with my results.
I am not sure what you mean about the Blue background with Patken though - I was in a wedding last week and they used Patken, and there was no blue background. Thats a very old school way of taking potraits, you might have seen some older pictures.

I am using Patken and I know what you mean about the blue background. After I went for my e-pics in their studio, which is beautiful, I asked them what they do when it rains the day of the wedding and they told me that is why they have the studio there to take pics on days like that.

Re: Photography
I saw a bunch of photographers b/c I loved all of their work and I knew this was the most important thing to decide on. So I went to all until I felt comfortable and happy with who I chose-I visited a bunch. I am going with Right Angle-I got everything I wanted for exactly what my budget allowed

We selected angelica studios. Mark makes gorgeous albums. Just like Imagine Studios, he's a bit expensive, though.... but then again, photography is one of the few places where you truly get what you pay for!
