Re: Photography

we have both with Duet. I have heard a few people who at the end of the ceremony looked at their DH and said 'wait, we didnt do our vows yet' (my former boss was one of them) and they were glad they had the video

I'm one of the only photo only. We're on a tight budget. We'll prob have family do some video.

Originally I was going to skip the video. But, after reading many posts, decided to spend the extra money. Everyone says it goes by so fast and you miss alot. I figured it was worth it to me.

we're doing both. i know i will definitely look at my pictures more than video but since we'll never be able to get those precious moments back again, we would at least like to relive them though video.

We're doing both as well. I know if we didnt, I might not regret it now, but in 10 years, I would.

Re: Photography

As of right now, we're just doing the photos... maybe we'll change our minds between now and then but I think we might just hire an old college classmate of FH (he majored in tv/film) to video the ceremony. (It will still be polished but I don't need a huge production and a video camera in my face all day.) I don't think I need the reception taped, I always feel a little less free dancing in front of a camera but I'm still open to it.

Re: Photography

I think if anything i might just do a very basic video package. I hate watching myself on camera anyway and I don't want to watch my wedding day and cringe at myself! lol im weird i know

We are just doing photo. To be honest, I know myself and I will watch it twice and it will get buried somewhere and I'll forget about it.

i am going to try to do both. once i start getting quotes i will make a final decision. if i have to pick one i am going with photos. i just feel that professional photos are a must for a wedding. in any case i can always have my brother video tape the ceremony & the speeches at the reception. those would be the most important things to me.
