Hey gals..i was wondering if any of you knew professional photographers who take the pics and give you the digital negatives so you make ur album elsewhere..if u know of any..please let me know..thanks!

We are using Luke Walker. I truly feel like we are paying an artist for their work rather than an overpriced book or cheesy gold frame! FM for more info!
Thomas Paul will be giving us a CD of our proofs and complete rights to them...so i plan on making my own albums on mypublisher.com or something like that

Check out carmenrubio.com. My fiancé and I just booked her since she came highly recommended by friends. We also saw a lot of her work and were impressed.
You wont see it on the website, but I know she could just give you the digital prints if you wanted. Give her a call I know she'll work something out with you.
You'd think so, right? We had a few run ins with some photographers that shall remain unnamed that did not want to give us any of our images, not even one for the newspaper from our engagement shoot...they just tried to sell us crappy expensive frames and albums!

All most all of the photographers I called give you a DVD with all your proofs to do what you want with them (i.e. you can print the pics wherever you want).
I called:

I called a lot more places but can't remember. Only one person told me that they wanted a $1,000 for the DVD and was very hesitant in giving it out. But even she said that she would give it. HTH

Thanks for posting this question since I was about debating whether to post it myself. Our photographer, who is otherwise great, told us that he does not do this but we are trying to make them change their mind since, as most girls on here have said, a lot of modern photographers do offer this option.

The first photographer I met with refused to release them as well and then started saying that all of the photographers that are breaking copyright (mind you, these are their own pics so they can do with them as they please) are putting studios like him out of business. Even after I said that I wanted to go with someone who would release MY pictures to ME, he still continued to email me about the copyright issues and tried to make deals on other stuff. I finally had to just say to stop emailing because I was confident I would find a good photographer that would give me my proofs.
