Well you still have time to find another one if you change your mind. If something doesn't feel right about them, I think you should start looking for another one now so you could still have your pick of photographers.

You need to go with you gut feeling. If you feel like this company isn't the one, then I would cancel, and find someone else. You want to feel at ease with the person that is shooting your wedding day & also be able to meet with him.

Good luck

I agree.. if you feel something isn't right then I would def cancel and find another photographer who you feel comfortable with. I myself def want to meet and get to know the photographer who will be shooting my wedding. This is a person your going to spend ALL day with on 1 of the most important days of you life, you should be able to meet them and see some work.

I would definitely cancel. That's crap, but the great thing is you have plenty of time to keep shopping around. Good Luck!

before you make a rash decision, think about why you booked with prestige in the first place. was there something he was offering that you weren't finding with others?

admittedly, i had never heard of prestige, but it looks like they offer all-inclusive packages, right? i would venture to guess that a company like that will be able to offer some pretty good deals. though it's possible that you might not get the service/product you might find with other vendors that specialize in photography.

if this is really bothering you, then you should definitely consider seeking someone else. by talking directly with the photographer, you'll be able to form a relationship with him/her, plus, it will be less likely that you'll encounter communication errors. going through 'middle men' definitely has it's drawbacks.

on the flip side, though, this company could very well surprise you. if you go with them, i wouldn't assume that just b/c you don't get to meet the photographer ahead of time that s/he's not good.

let us know what you decide... good luck!

I would be worried that you can't meet the photographer the day of. But perhaps if you told them you were thinking of walking, they might be 'persuaded' to let you actually meet your photographer and develop a relationship with them.

I agree you need to go with your gut- if your gut is telling you something is wrong then listen to it. I only met my photographer for a few minutes but just those few minutes put me at ease. Also, I will be having an epic shot to get to better know him and his style. Have you voiced your feelings to prestige?maybe if you explain you feel uncomfortable not meeting the photographer until day of they can set up a meeting?

You can still find another one. You have plenty of time. Go with your gut feeling. If you are already worrying about this...maybe you should look around a little. You don't want to have to think about this for the next 10 months!

I don't like the fact that you can't meet your photographer until right before. I got an engagement shoot with mine to make sure we were a good match. We loved her however if we didn't we were allowed to do another shoot with another 1 of their photographers.

Follow your instincts. You know in your heart if they are for you look at reviews and im sure they showed you sample albums etc. If it isnt for you i would keep looking. Cause if something goes wrong later on you gonna say to yourself i knew i shouldve picked someplace else. Try lighthouse photography amazing!
