Photography Help

I have begun to look at photographers and I have been quoted different prices. I am not sure though what a good price is and what is over priced. If anyone doesnt mind sharing a ball park figure of their package and what they are getting, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much everyone.

VIP studios: We went with the Gold package which was $4,000. It is a digital album with 100 pics. You get two parent albums and and seperate pics also ( 5x7, 8x10) a 16x20 portrait, thank yous, 2 photographers. I booked with him awhile ago so I am probably missing something.

I am a very pleased Duet Bride... I paid 1500 for my photography... And would have paid a million! CLICK HERE for the basic package... The thing I loved most about them was that they are 110% customizable! Anything you need or want they work out for you... or include!

Whatever vendor you decide on DON'T BE AFRAID to bargain!!

Best wishes and Happy Planning! If you need more info, please feel free to FM me!

Re: Photography Help

we booked Patken afetr seeing several brides pictures, we are paying 2400 for an album with 36 pictures, I think 18 10 x 10's and 18 8x8 ( I think), we are also getting an 11 x 14, a 16 x 20, 5o thankyous, all fo the prrofs in a nice album, the negatives, a few extra 8x 10,s, I think 5 5x 7's, I dont remember what else, Im not at home..but we were very happy with the price, we knew what we wanted and were quoted much higher from other places, I really researched and looked at alot of pics, in my opinion, Patken did as good of a job as any other photographer, and their price was teh best! If we booked that day,w e also got 150 bucks credit towrds framing or other things..Im very happy, but will let ya know after my wedding how truly happy I am!

Re: Photography Help

what you have to consider is if you are getting a leather album, how the pics are mounted, etc. All these thing make the price higher. I was quoted $1000 less for getting a fake leather album and cheaper mounting.

Re: Photography Help

Paying $6700 for two photographers (traditional & photojournalism) for 10 hours. Then I have a $4500 credit towards whatever we want for albums, enlargements, etc. It also included free engagement shoot and if I remember correctly free photo shoot of our first born!

Re: Photography Help

its tough to say whats overpriced and all...there are many factors...
do they do photojournalistic..
one or two photographers..
photographers film or 35mm film(difference is shown in the enlargements)
references, years in buisness..

i picked patken(which makes customized packages)
im paying 2600
30 pics in my album
2 - 12 pic parents albums
100 thank yous
20x20
11x11
3 8 x 10
and a bunch of reprints
and $150 towards reorders

always try and bargain with the place(most photographers will)
most important, pick who you feel comfortable and confident with
