Photography Help

Photography Help

We have looked at couple of photographers and none of them have really fulfilled all of our requirements.

It seems that the ones we loved are way out of our price range and the photographers that give us the biggest bang for our $, we don't love the actual photography.

I don't think we should compromise quality, but we must have 4 parent books and we really want 2 photographers. Any suggestions on other photographers to look at? Should we go for the quality photographer and not get albums?

I can't believe how hard finding a photographer has been. At this point we are both very frustrated.

Suggestions pleaseeee.....

Have you checked out Artisan? The prices are very reasonable and he's very very flexible with packages, etc, whatever you need

Check out my photographer. She does not include albums in her price, but she can still make them for you, and she'll tell you the cheapest way to get them done. She's awesome and not looking to make a buck off of you...

Re: Photography Help

i would go w/the photographer that you love, and save doing the albums for later when you have the money. have you tried something in blue? they are a husband-wife photography team and they do amazing work!! they were too photojournalistic for my family, so that's why i didnt look into them. i believe they charge around 4,000 for 10 hours of shooting time and 1000+ proofs.

Re: Photography Help

We want two photographers simply because one person can't be in two places at once. I want one to be with my FH while he is getting ready and one to take pics when I get ready.
Two photographers will also offer more proofs.
I also favor those photojournalit shots that are being taken while a traditional shot are being set up.

I used VIP, I have 2 photographers the whole time and then the owner showed up to my reception as well!
I has about 1000 proofs and paid $3200 for my flush mount album, 2 parent albums, and a bunch of reprints and thank yous.

Re: Photography Help

We are using The Velvet Studio in Huntington. We are having 2 photographers, 500 proofs, all negatives, albums, and Video for about $5k. We got the biggest package.

Hope this helps.

My photographer (Natasha Staszack ), and I think some others, have assistants who also act as second shooters. I know Natasha's assistant will, if you want, photograph the groom getting ready. She is a bit pricey, though, but her second package offers 2 parent albums.
