Photography help!!

Hi Ladies!! I have a few questions!! Photos are one of the most important things to me as well as the wedding video!! It's the only thing that will genuinely help me to remember the day to the fullest!! I don't mind spending $4, bc it is the one thing that's very important to FH and I. But honestly I wish I didn't have to spend that much!! LOL I haven't gone to see anyone yet buy the few people that I've been recommended to are about in that price range not always including the wedding video. If anyone knows any other photographer that is less expensive or a good inexpensive videographer please please let me know!! I'd love to know names and prices!! Thanks again girls!!! xoxo

try Momentous Occasions or Lighthouse for video. As for photo, I am using Matthew Sowa (e-pics in album) he is a little on the high price side, but his work is just amazing!

Lighthouse is definitely great! Based on my experience with them so far, I def recommend them :)

My video will be by Morelli media. I don't think he's a vendor on here, but a couple ppl I know used him. You can check out his pricing on his website (just google morelli media). I liked his samples and I liked that his final videos were closer to an hour, rather than closer to a half hour like many other videographers seemed to offer...

Lighthouse is great. We met with them and other vendors. However, we decided to go with Studio Saldana as they were recommended by a few friends. They do both photography and cinematography. The main photographer, Steve, is so easy to get along with and he has definitely chilled my nerves for my wedding day.

A few friends that hired him simply loved him. I'd always pay a little extra as to as calm as I can be. The bridesmaids and groomsmen enjoyed his company as he made everyone feel at ease. Their pictures/albums came out beautifully!

Re: Photography help!!

I'm using George at Right Angle Studios. He shot another wedding I was a bridesmaid in and it was a pleasure to work with him. I brought a friend of mine who is a grad student a School of Visual Arts in Mahattan to make sure I was getting the most for my money. Of the 6 photographers we looked at - George had the best equipment and formal shots, had the best use of natural light and I felt the best with him! We also met with Lighthouse and Duet. Lighthouse had beautiful candids and the same equipment a George. The only reason we chose Right Angle was because I take better posed shots and Florio's back up camera was not the same as his main camera. I didn't go with Duet because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to meet with the actual person that would be at my wedding beforehand.

Anyway, George has a ton of pricing options. He told us a lot of his brides go with a basic package then order more after the wedding, when they aren't budgeting so much. He holds on to your pictures for years so you can go back for more albums/prints whenever you want.

I'm peeved bc I just found out that apparently Lighthouse does negotiate when they told me they don't! Grr..

I'm meeting with Ken Hild on Sunday. He has been very patient with me through emails the past few days and asked if I could come in. I love his work on his website and he is willing to negotiate!

They're both independently owned and FABULOUS. I booked Ken before I even booked my RH - and my pictures came out sensational.
