Help! My fiance and I are torn between two photographers, ADA and Patken for our September 2012 wedding. Anyone have advice or pix from either company that would be appreciated!
We just booked with Patken! We had our engagment shoot last week. Pics are in my album. Prices were better than the other Jericho Terrace house vendors. Also, using Patken they can tap into the TVs in the dome/penthouse room

ada was the first photographer we met with.
we were not impressed one bit ended going with patekn. dh fell in love right away.
patken does great work!! not gonna lie so does DUET.

I would search on here for Reviews on ADA. I'm sure you've seen all the great reviews about Patken on here already because they're very popular.
If it were between those two alone just based on rep I'd probably go with Patken.

I'm with Patken. It was a hard decision but their work is great and the people there were good to work with. I haven't done my epics but I can't wait til we do!!!!

We are booked w/ Patken and are sooooo happy!!!! They are very professional, do great work, and have great packages HTH!

haven't heard good things about ADA.. i heard lots of good things about Patken :)

I'm going to be unpopular here in a bit but I do not like Patken. A close family member is using them and just did their engagement pictures. IMO they were super cheesy. And even worse - when I have seen other Patken engagement shoots, all the pictures are similar to each other. So far example - many of them have the same shots like stare off into space and look at the ring at the same time, stand by a random barn door. I am sorry if I sound mean but I am just not in love with the style. But to each their own I guess.

I am using Patken. I was impressed with their work, presentation, and price. I like the fact that they usually have 3 of their photographers 'unbooked' just in case there is an emergency and they need one of them to fill in for another photographer. They just seemed very professional.

i'm also a patken bride... My friend used ADA and it took almost a full year to get her album...

I'm not the biggest Patken fan either. I think their work is okay, it's better than some, not as nice as others... but the thing with the e pics is that the pics you are seeing are included... if you pay extra, you can have a unique off site engagement shoot, I guess a lot of people just choose not to do that.
I would definitely book Patken over ADA though just based on the things I've heard.

My cousin used ada for her wedding which i was a bm in. Do not like them the pix were eh for the $$$ she spent i paid less with duet and im going to have more than the 600 proofs she got but i got 2 phoyographers. If you want more info fm me

Patken all the way! i know someone who used ADA and i was definatly unimpressed with their work...
and yes, Patkens Engagement shoots are all similar to each other butIMO the engagement pics werent as important as my wedding pics will be..
