FH and I are starting to look into photographers and have no idea where to start. So PLEASE any feedback on your experiences and/or quotes would be helpful. We are looking for photography and videography. We also would prefer a photographer that allows us to own the rights to the photos. Photography is definitely an important part of the wedding for us but we don't want to go overboard on the budget. Help and feedback is appreciated!!!!
I am using Silverfox. I know 4 couples who have used them and had a great experience and even better photos. when FH and I met with them we clicked instantly. we are also using them as our DJ.
We booked Thomas Paul for photography! We wanted less traditional, and more artistic/creative, and he fit our style perfectly! FM me if you want more details!
We're using Jay Lim and adore him. All the photographers we met with except one gave us the rights to our pictures, so do not compromise on that, they should absolutely be giving you the rights to your photos!

Im using Fade to Black for both photo and video. We were so comfortable with Gil, got so much for our money and just loved everything about them. I had my engagement shoot and it just reaffirmed we made the right choice. They were accomodating, fun and we were so happy with the pictures. Oh and you do get the rights to all your photos.

Definitely Fade to Black. Gil has been my favorite vendor in this entire process! He's the best to work with.
I booked with Proline and it was about 5k for photo and video with 2 photographers for the full day, cd of all pics, ty cards, and some prints and an edited and unedited video.

We are using SilverFox also!! Absolutely LOVE them! They are truly fantastic. HIgh quality work, been in the business for years, prompt, attentive, creative, and super personable.

I'm booked with Scott at Red Sweatshirt. I loved his style and we just clicked.
If I were to pick any one vendor who has been the most helpful, budget friendly, and just kind of awesome it'd definitely be Gil, Fade to Black. I priced a few people but knew instantly he was the one to go with. I'm getting a disc with all the rights to the images, photo/video/photobooth and it didn't break the bank AT ALL. He's fantastic.
Look into White Pear. Liz is amazing and easy going. If you email her, she will send you listing of her package. I'm still getting compliments on my STDs.
