Photography Help Please :)

Photography Help Please :)

There are just so many photographers out there I don't know where to begin!

I am leaning towards the photojounalistic approach, but also want to have some of the more traditional type photos. Anyone have some suggestions of places that can do a blend?

I just need a starting point. Oh and as of right now I am just getting ideas so i am not looking for a specific price range.

Thanks!!

if you go on bride's review, you can check out some of the photos from some of the LIW brides. If you see one you like, click on their profile to see who their photographer was.

definitely look at the vendor section here, also the knot has a search option where you can narrow it down by price, style even location.
Good luck.

Definitely check out Imagine Studios. I was the same way you are, wanting photojournalist shots as well as portraits. Lia is an incredible photog and when I explained what I wanted she totally understood. Check out their website. Imagine Studios

BTW, they also do videography...

We actually just booked with Artisan! They were the first photographer we looked at and we fell in love from the very first meeting....but we still wanted to shop around, see differant price ranges and styles, but we ended up coming back to Chuck at Artisan!
He's so much fun to be around and I think thats very important for your wedding day, considering you're going to be with him for most of the day! But the prices are very reasonable and his work is amazing! I strongly suggest you check him out!

many of the photographers that do photojournalistic will still do posed shots with the family and bridal party.

check out Dan Wagner. www.danwagner.com, I used him for my wedding and was very happy! He does both traditional and photojournalistic.

We used Spelman Studios (a LIW vendor) and are very happy. Christine did our wedding and took hundreds of shots and she also had an assistant who took a ton of photojournalistic shots.

My review is on the review board, I'll bump ot for you if you want to check out some of our pics (I think the proof start on pg 2 or 3)

Try our photographers. Jared and Coke are the guys from Downing Street. Very hip guys with a great eye. Pictures online don't do their work justice - definitely worth seeing them in person.

Definitely check out Visual Concepts-not a cheap photography but AMAZING photojournalism and tranditonal work. We booked them. Bob and Debbie are great.

I would also check out Photo By Verdi

the two I mentioned are pretty close in pricing and style.
