well yesterday i was looking for low cost photography--cause i want to get out of my contract with my original photographer. (a wedding center) my search was completely reliant on whether or not i could get out of my contract....
soooo....FH talked to them...and of course why send a man to do a woman's job? he didn't get much accomplished. i was angry, and called back and long story short--i got us out of the contract!!! we're cancelling our package, and using them for videography only! now i'm free to book a photographer!!!!!!!!
of course this now means i gotta find flowers & limo...on my own...but i am SOOOO excited about this!!!!!!!
I know what you mean about FH not getting stuff done, mine talks a huge game so I put him in charge of negociations, but, he becomes a big wimp when it's time to actually meet with the people!
That is great that they let you out of your contract. Do you know what photographer you want to book with? I went with Patken and I am happy I made that choice. I have had my engagement photo shoot and after that you can meet personally with the photographer who will be shooting your wedding. They are very personable.
basically i talked with owner and told him that we had found someone to do it for less (family friend) and can we just stick with them for video...and then cancel everything else, since it would cost more if we kept everything and only cancelled photo. he said okay...no problem...since it's more than 90 days before...and that was it!
we are going tonite to cancel the original contract!!
