photography package pricing

I went to spelman studios last night and I found their prices to be very high compared to what everyone else says that they are paying. Has anyone else encountered the same thing? I don't mind paying more if the pictures are unlike other photographers. Her packages start at 3900. Please let me know what everyone else is paying and what is in the package that you are getting??? Please help !!!!

I booked patken - $4400 - but there worth it - As far as photography goes - As long as there good its worth the money.

I'm using JoVon and paying $4500 for my package. I found their work to be much better than any I had seen - set up an appt with them!

I am also paying $4500 for my package, but that included the proofs and a few add-ons.

I'm paying $3500 for 10 hours, 2 photographers, 900+ proofs and our album (not sure how many pics are included in it). The parents albums (we need 3 @ $300 a piece), wallet pics and any additional pics we want, are extra.

I am paying $3500 for

2 photographers
1 videographer
40 page bridal album
2 parent albums
DVD and 2 VHS tapes
Thank yous
full editing with photo montage for video
20x24 pic (or 16x20)
casual day engagement pics in the city with the 2 photographers and videographer
Sign board for wedding w/ a pic from casual day
etc

They do have a package for $3000 without the casual day, sign board, and 30 page BA instead of 40 pages.

Spelman studios was one of our final picks, but we felt the same way....Her prices are high and you will just end up spending more in the end adding on more pics. My FSIL used her and we loved her pictures, but in just 2 years her prices went up substantially!

ours is 2500 for Steve from Patken, this is for 18 10X10's, 18 8 X 10's, in an album, 1 20X20,2 8X8's, 4 5X7's,1 11 X 11, 50 Thankyou's, the proofs, the negatives, and engament sesion with an 8 X 10, and 150 doolars to put towrds things after the wedding, such as framing..I cant remember what else. We told tehm what we wanted and they gave us a price. I love them!!

I got a quote from B rett M atthews for 4495 that came with
1 10x10 rev. albumn with 50 pics
2 5x7 album with 24 pics all proofs 2 photgraphers from 2 hours before wedding till finish and 100 thank yous
