WHat is the average cost for a few hours of photography? can anyone give me an idea. My wedding is not until August 2012 but I'm curious. Thanks guys!!

There are really so many different packages given from different photographers. I would say that you could get someone that would be around $2000, but I'm not sure if you would get albums and things like that. I think on average at least $3500 for a package that would include albums, enlargements, and an engagement shoot.

I got a quote from a neighbor that is a photographer and I thought it was ridiculously high. Almost $2000 for 8 hours but then you only get the images on a disc.

Hmmmmmmm I think that might be a LITTLE high, but not by much. I personally think you are better off spending a little more to get the whole package deal.

it all depends on what you are looking for. I would say if you want albums etc you are looking at $3500. If you are willing to get the minimum (1 photographer and just a cd of images) it could be closer to 2000. But also realize the other side of the spectrum...i contacted photographers that wanted $5000 and even one that said he was $8000 for a sat night if i wanted him personally

Mr. Ed could take my pics if he does a good job LOL but for the work I've seen this guy do I think the horse actually would do a better job LOL I wanna have an album and a dvd plus we still have to do engagement photos I'm also planning on having cameras on each table and getting a photobooth for people to goof around in.

Don't go crazy!! Just figure out how much you can spend and use this site because you will find SO MANY different great vendors! Good luck!!

I went with Lighthouse and they are at around the low 2000's with albums, thank you cards, and engagement shoot.

Idk what the average cost is, but we'r paying $4800 for two photographers and a videographer, starting at 1pm and ending at 1am. It includes our album plus our parents albums, an e-pic shoot and as many thank you cards as you need w/ the pic printed in the front. There's alot more included in the package, I just can't remember it all right now.

You can definitely get a good one for 2000-2500 with an album included.

We went with North Island (you can see my e-pics in my album)
I think we are at about $3400 or so
2 photogs from 9 AM to 6 PM 1 album parents albums engagement photos guest book from our e-pics a few prints - I think 1 8x10, a few 5x7s 100 thank you notes CD of images
