So I'm very bad, sitting here at work, posting on the message board, but I just got a quote from a photographer.. its $3000 for the following
-Eng session -Full coverage for day of with 2 photographers -album (3p.m.-1 a.m.) - CD with photos for uploading on computer - Eng and wedding images on website - prints of various sizes, not sure-- and 1 large print, like really large lol.
Is this price about right-- to high? I have no clue about these things--

That's much less than what I'm paying. Depends on quality and photographer. Def look at multiple places to compare their work

Prices really vary. It sounds like a good price, but the question is do you like their work? Do you like their style? Have you met them in person? FYI, albums can cost around 1k for a really good one. So what type of album you are getting can change the price too.

I have more for less with a great photographer. I do know others were more money though.
10 hours of shooting 2 photographers, 1 lighting assistant all images high resolution disc thank you cards 10x10 album for us 3 parent albums of 5x7 (30 pics) one 11x14 two 5x7 800+ pics with 4x6 of each in a box (proofs)
videographer with full coverage, raw footage and 3 edited DVD's.
Under $4k

make sure you check out how many albums you are getting parent albums etc. I got pretty much the same package but with 3 parent albums and complete editted video for a little over 6.
I think 3 is very good for pictures. It might help looking at other photographers packages and comparing the prices and what they include. You could probably google local photographers..
