Photography Question

Photography Question

Did anyone spend a lot of money on photography and end up regretting it? Meaning the amount that you spent not the quality of the pictures. I figure 5 years from now I will care less about the pictures, but it seems so relevant and important now. I am having a hard time debating on picking someone more pricey compared to someone all inclusive with video for less than 5,000. I am so confused. Appreciate any help. TIA.

Re: Photography Question

We thought about that when choosing a photographer. We were able to spend less than $5000 and get a videographer and photographer. I can see what you're saying but pictures last a lifetime. No, I wouldn't want to spend a whole lot on them but I would want pictures of a good quality.

I've seen 4 photographers and honestly I went with Duet b/c of their pricing and how much they were giving you. They have great reviews on LIW.

My mom's son got married and they spent over $6000 on pics alone! The studio charged them $1 for each proof - and there were 1,500 total!!! Kinda rediculous in my book, but whatever.

Here's my opinion. The most important things are the place your having it, the music and the photography.
Photography and Video is forever!!
Everyone will remember the food & the music if it is good. Everyone will really remember if it is bad.
You only wear the dress once. The flowers will all die,the favors will go in someones china cabinet and collect dust, you'll never see the limo driver again.
Once you commit yourself to having a big wedding, you commit yourself to the pressures of spending lots of money.
I spent a good amount for my photography and it was well worth the money.
As soon as your wedding is over- all that's left are your memories. Find a photographer that has a good personality. Make sure you get along with them b/c your going to spend the entire day with them.

I totally agree! We spent alot of pictures and cut back in other places for that very reason. Pictures and Video are all you have left after everything is done.

we went overboard but you pay for what you get.... we could of saved money with either pic or viedo but we didn't cut any corners
