Photography Question

Hello Girls!

I met with a photgrapher yesterday and lookd at a few albums.

They had the tarditional kind and the digitial ones. I didn't even know about the digital photo albums! lol

Is digital the new thing that everyone is getting? Is it better than the traditional albums?

I'm confused...Thanks for your help...

Re: Photography Question

A lot of photographer I met with told me most of photographer in the industry are switching.

The labs are also switching. There are still a lot of photographers use film.

It's a matter of preference!

I am going digital. More possibilities!

Re: Photography Question

It'a all a matter of taste really. I actually prefer the traditional albums, I feel the digital albums look to busy sometimes. My photographer shoots in film but prints in digital and then does both types of albums.

Its a matter of preference. I like the coffee table books because I am not limited to 40 pictures. Like for the party pages, I can probably shrink and squeeze like 20 dance floor pics into 2 pages. You can try different layouts and borders and be as simple or as fancy as you like. I think they are so fun!!!

Re: Photography Question

The best way for me to describe it since I am getting a digital album is it is like a magizine. The entire page 'is' the picture rather than having it mounted in the page. I wouldn't say it is better than traditional. It is a personal preference and I guess is a bit more modern. I don't think it is brand new but it seems to be pretty popular. My SIL got a digital album and the pages were so thick! It was beautiful! I like the magazine style because you can tell a story with the pictures that act as a background and the ones that are the main focus of the page. Like I said though, one is not 'better' than the other, it is a preference.

Like the others have been saying , its all a matter of preference. I knew the first time I saw a digital album its what I wanted and FH loved them too!
